I am searching for sponsors to keep her there. We have a terrible and heavy history behind us. Fortunately I know what Autism is. Many parents in france don't know and their children end up in these famous Insitutions. They call it psychosis and blame the mother. I should know, it happend to me. I nearly lost both my children. I would like to share our experiences with Autism in France. My daughter is autistic and we paid a very high price. The documentary is censored in France and can no longer be aired or on the internet. We fought but Sophie's lawyer himself requested to remove it from our website and from youtube to comply with the court decision. The case is pending appeal (Sept or Oct likely). What Masson found in those letters was that Freud himself never really believed in the revisions he made to psychoanalysis under pressure after presenting a speech to his colleagues called "The Etiology of an Illness". In the speech he revealed that virtually all of his patients diagnosed with "hysteria" had, upon free association, recalled memories of early childhood sexual abuse. Since many of his patients were, in fact, the children of his own colleagues, he was in big trouble with them. So he revised the theory to say that they hadn't been abused after all but had instead fantasized about having sex with their parents, compelled as they were by their oedipal desires. This became the basis for the Oedipus complex and also for the psychoanalytic conception of infantile sexuality. In reality, sexuality is entirely foreign to prepubescent children! The basis of psychoanalysis was a coverup of very real childhood sexual abuse behind the false dogma (what Alice Miller called a "poisonous pedagogy") of drive theory (psychoanalysis). It wasn't the children who were driven to have sex but the parents. Masson found in his private letters that Freud believed he himself was sexually abused by his own father. Freud remained privately bitter at having been ostracized into betraying his original findings which he knew from personal experience to be true. After 100 years, psychoanalysis is now wrongly blaming parents (in the case of autism in France), when it should have rightly blamed them at the very start. In a twisted sense, they have been gradually "making amends" for this foundational error. But the whole theory is based on pure fantasy. The naked emperor of psychoanalysis has always hidden behind a smoke-blowing priesthood, skilled in the art of mystifying the public.
